Purple Music

I especially liked today's topic. I didn't think it twice before saying that my favorite artist of all time is Prince. I remember that the way I found about him was quite casual. In my house we've always liked old music, but I never heard anything from Prince until a few years ago. There was a character from a comic (known for doing musical references) named after a song of his, so I searched it on Spotify because it didn't ring a bell on me when I read it. The song was "Soft and Wet" and I thought "heey, that's funky!" So I jumped to the main page of the artist, and when I listened to "Purple Rain" I was impressed, it sounded so different from the first song and it was even more incredible, after listening a few more songs I was already sold.

The way he mixed different music styles and how he changed the sound of his music with every album and with hit, after hit after hit without losing that essence that makes you say "aah, yeah, that's a Prince song" just amazes me. The dude was full of talent, he really took the call of his life when he decided to go with music. And his uncommon fashion just adds to everything else! He was always the kind of person to break stereotypes, even his first band, "The Revolution" was formed by black and white people, girls and boys, something that was very rare in that time! They all just lived music, purple music.
